Qianyu Li’s solo exhibition

Magician Space is pleased to present the solo exhibition of artist Qianyu Li. Born in 1995 in Linhe, Inner Mongolia, she grew up in Beijing, studied in London, then New York, and currently lives and works in Lisbon. Based on her global migratory life experience, Li’s practice explores the connections between things from the perspective of poem and movie, reflecting the diverse geographical and cultural environments. Her work is primarily presented as diptych paintings, the twopart format expanding beyond the single pictorial plane, disrupting the pictorial and narrative spaces. Li imagines the potential connection of things in reality, reopening the closed forms and meanings and connecting the separated worlds.
